Results of our 28 Week Appointment

Our appointment went so well yesterday, even if we did end up seeing a different doctor because ours was out delivering a baby!

I passed the glucose test with flying colors (praise the Lord!)

And most shockingly - baby fully cooperated with the ultrasound! Baby is measuring perfectly, and is developing exactly as they would like.

And the big news is, it's a GIRL!!!!!

While I had no preference for a girl or a boy, and have been praying for a healthy baby, Miss Pear has a definite preference for a girl and has been praying that way, so I am happy that at this young age she is seeing the Lord answer her prayers! (And if it was a boy, I would still be thrilled, but would not want to be the one explaining it to Miss Pear, she has been very insistent about a sister!)

Which leads to the question, what should our sweet baby girl's blog name be?

I'm so happy that your pregnancy is going well. Perhaps you could call her Pear Blossom, or something similar?

Just think - you don't have to buy different (boy) clothes - yet!

, I am one that always said I didn't prefer a boy or girl as long as it was healthy until I read this post. What a eye opener....I notice you say the same thing so I thought I would share this link with you too.

Ok, so I guessed wrong. I had a 50/50 chance.

I'll take being wrong with a huge grin on my face though! A precious little one is on the way...

So grateful for the good update!

Hooray! How sweet that Miss Pear will have a tiny sister to love and adore. :) My daughter is not yet to the age of preference so she has no idea how much her little brother (due 9/9) will change her life! :)

I love Mrs. Mordecai's suggestion of Pear Blossom - so perfect!
