We try to have morning devotions around here - usually during the week it is just Miss Pear and I.
We read a page out of a preschool devotional, read a chapter from our Bible (we are in Acts) and then read a couple books that teach about God.
This morning we were reading a children's book about prayer, and it talked about being close to God.
Miss Pear said that she did not want to be close to Him because she would bump into him and have to say sorry.
I started explaining that the book meant close as in close to snuggle, not bump into, but then I thought about it and realized that she was taking what she had learned about saying sorry and applying it. So I assured her that God did not mind when we bumped into Him.

How precious.
After reading this I'm reminded that I probably need to be bumping into God a bit more often than I do. I imagine that whenever we are able to touch God in any form... it can only be a good thing! :-)
Oh to be so close to Him that I bump into Him now and then!...
Her little theology and concerns challenged my own heart today! Thanks!!
I think it's much better to bump into God than to avoid him, don't you?
Sometimes the best things we learn about God we learn (or relearn) from our children. Praise God!
