Comfort for the Southern California Fires

I posted earlier in the week about a church in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, CA. One of the hardest hit areas by the fires last week. This particular church has 57 families who lost their homes which is a huge number. This is also a church that continually reaches out beyond their own walls to the community beyond!

One great ministry they have is called Tied in Prayer. This group is making comforting quilt squares to offer to the families who have lost their homes. They need people to make the quilt tops and then mail them to the church, they will do the rest! There are patterns on the website, as well as instructions.

This would be a great way to use up some of your quilting remnants!
