Well, it has begun

Somehow, every time Mr. Pear goes on a business trip I kind of feel like I am being made to walk the plank or something equally disastrous. Even though he is going to Mexico, it is a safe town, and they are staying on the US side, so that makes me feel better. And even though Miss Pear and I always survive, it is always hard for both of us.

We are a family who loves being together! Even if we are each doing our own thing, we still want to be in the same room together - we are funny that way!

I was incredibly blessed to serve as a volunteer in Miss Pear's BSF classroom this morning. I had a fabulous time, and there is nothing like singing praises to the Lord with preschoolers! And I learned lots too!

Miss Pear has had a very hard time getting to sleep with this sinus cold of hers, which leaves her tired during the day, so after she fell asleep in the car on the way home and barely woke up when I carried her in the house, I decided an early nap would be beneficial to us all, and maybe just what she needed to get back on track.

This afternoon we are heading out to Target. Miss Pear is showing me that she wants to write, and we need something before tracing sheets - after all, she is only 2 and 3/4, so we will see what we can find. Plus I need my supplies to survive until Thursday night - book and chocolate! It is very cool and damp here, so this will get us out of the house and burn off some energy, and kill some time. The first day is all about the distraction and killing time.

Tomorrow, if my stomach stays calm, we are going to bake bread and cookies in the more morning as it is supposed to be rainy, which translates into cook and damp, so I like to bake to warm us up! In the afternoon we will make our CVS run - I have ECB's expiring, and do not want to lose them.

Thursday will be the home stretch as we will be going to the airport to pick up Daddy, Miss Pear is already talking about it, so clearly we are looking forward to it.

So 2 nights. It is not so bad, we have had longer trips. But the nights always seem so long, and I always feel so cold. Oh well, I guess it will be chocolate, a book, tea, and an extra blanket tonight.

I really love volunteering in the children's classes at BSF. Both of my daughters (ages 4.5 and 2.5) attend and our class is really big, so there are about six or seven children's classes. But to hear the deep Biblical truths that they're learning is almost as good as hearing my own lecture! Our class is tomorrow morning and, as always, we're excited about going!
