Beaming Mama Moment

This morning we went to Classical Conversations, our homeschooling group. It was Miss Pear's first trip out of the house with her cast on because of the yuck in our house.

I am thrilled to announce that she did not accidentally whollop any other children! (Hey, the thing goes from her fingers up past her elbow, this was a concern!)

But the beaming mama moment was one that had nothing to do with me, and everything to do with God.

During the presentation time when they practice speaking in front of the other 7 children and practice being good listeners the children where to share something about history. Either their favorite historical event, some historical fact we had studied etc. (Keeping in mind we cheer wildly for everyone, even the ones that get up there and hug the tutor and mumble into her shoulder and sit down. The goal is that by the end of the year they can stand up and speak to their friends, not exactly high pressure).

So yesterday I asked Miss what her favorite historical event was, and after I explained what I meant by event she said, "That Jesus died and rose again for your sins and my sins."

She just went with that this morning. No coaching on my part. Just a happy heart for what God is doing! Thank you, Lord!
